# Insights

> Insights gives you detailed performance metrics on conversion, engagement, gifting, and teaser effectiveness — so you can refine your strategy with real data.

While the Creator Dashboard shows your top-line numbers, Insights goes deeper. It tracks the specific behaviors that drive growth on Circo — how viewers convert, how engaged they are, and which content is performing best. Use these metrics to refine your Teaser strategy, publishing schedule, and pricing.

## Key metrics

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Conversion rate" icon="percent">
    The percentage of viewers who take a paid action — subscribing to your Studio or purchasing a Drop or Video via PPV. A low conversion rate often signals a weak Teaser or a pricing mismatch.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Average gifting per viewer" icon="gift">
    The average amount of Credits gifted per viewer across your content. A high average means your audience is emotionally engaged and willing to support you directly.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Most watched Teasers" icon="eye">
    Which of your Teasers are getting the most plays in the feed. Use this to identify what hooks, topics, or styles attract the most attention before a purchase decision.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Drop engagement rate" icon="chart-bar">
    A combined measure of views, likes, comments, and gifts on each Drop. High engagement rates signal content that resonates — low rates signal content to rethink or re-promote.
  </Card>

## How to act on your Insights data

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Low conversion rate">
    If a high number of viewers watch your Teasers but few go on to purchase or subscribe, the problem is usually in the Teaser itself or the price point.

    * Revisit your Teaser: Is the first frame compelling? Does it create genuine curiosity?
    * Check your pricing: Is the price appropriate for the content length and quality?
    * Ensure your title and description match the video accurately — misleading metadata reduces conversion trust.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Low average gifting per viewer">
    Gifting is an expression of engagement. If your gifting average is low, your content may not be creating strong emotional moments.

    * Create content that builds to a peak — a reveal, a punchline, a powerful performance moment
    * Use CliQ to recognize and thank top gifters publicly, which encourages others to gift
    * Remind viewers they can gift at any point during playback
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Low Teaser views">
    If your Teasers aren't being watched much in the feed, they may not be stopping the scroll.

    * Change the opening frame to something more visually striking
    * Test different content types as Teasers and compare performance
    * Post new content regularly to keep your Teasers surfacing in the feed
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Low Drop engagement rate">
    A low engagement rate on a Drop (few views, likes, comments, or gifts) suggests the content didn't connect — or the Teaser didn't attract the right audience.

    * Review whether the Teaser accurately represented the content
    * Look at the title and description for potential mismatches
    * Consider the timing of the upload and whether it coincided with periods when your audience is active
  </Accordion>

<Tip>
  Check your Insights regularly — at minimum weekly — and look for patterns rather than individual data points. A single underperforming Drop tells you little. Five consecutive Drops with low engagement tells you to change something.

## Insights and the Creator Dashboard together

Use both tools in combination:

* **Creator Dashboard**: Top-line revenue, subscriber count, and best-performing content — the "what"
* **Insights**: Conversion rates, gifting behavior, teaser performance, engagement rates — the "why"

The Dashboard tells you how much you earned. Insights tells you how to earn more.
