Uploading content to Circo is designed to be reliable even on slower connections. Whether you’re uploading a 30-second Drop or a 30-minute Video, Circo handles network interruptions and device changes without making you start over.

Supported formats

Circo accepts the following video file formats:
FormatNotes
MP4Recommended for best playback quality and compatibility

For the best results, export your videos in MP4 format before uploading. This ensures the fastest processing and highest playback quality for your viewers.

How to upload

1

Open your Studio

Navigate to your Studio in the Circo app or on the web.
2

Tap the upload button

Select whether you’re uploading a Drop (short-form) or a Video (long-form).
3

Choose your file

Select an MP4 or MOV file from your device. Circo will begin uploading immediately.
4

Add your Teaser

Attach a 15-second Teaser to your content. This is what viewers see in the feed before deciding to unlock the full video.
5

Set your title, description, and price

Write an accurate title and description, and set your PPV price if applicable. See Titles & Descriptions for best practices.
6

Publish

Once processing is complete, tap publish. Circo will notify you when your content is live and ready for viewers.

Resumable uploads

Large file uploads can be interrupted by poor connections, app closures, or switching networks. Circo’s resumable upload system means you never have to start over.

How resumable uploads work

  • When you start uploading, Circo saves your progress in the background
  • If your connection drops, the app closes, or you switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, the upload pauses automatically
  • When you return to the app, Circo picks up exactly where it left off — no data wasted, no time lost
Keep the app open and in the foreground while uploading for the fastest results. Switching to another app may pause the upload temporarily.

Tips for smooth uploads

  • Use a strong Wi-Fi connection (4G or higher) when uploading large files
  • Keep your Circo app updated to the latest version
  • Larger videos may take additional time to process after the upload completes — Circo will notify you once your content is ready to publish
  • If an upload gets stuck after multiple attempts, restart the app and retry. If the problem persists, contact support with a screenshot
If you switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data mid-upload, the transfer may pause briefly before resuming. This is expected behavior — Circo will resume automatically once the connection stabilizes.
